PTO

The PTO is currently accepting persons of interest for openings on our PTO Executive Board. 

The following positions are available: (this is for the 2025-2026 school year).

  1. Vice President

  2.  Secretary

  3. 6th Grade Committee Lead

  4.  School Store Lead

If you are interested in one of the vacancies, please complete the google form link below by September 29th.


Once the deadline has been reached, the executive board and PTO members will review the forms and take a vote.

(You must be a member of the PTO to run for office and to vote).

The PTO members chosen to fill the positions, will be notified.

Please see below for a description of the responsibilities of the vacant officer positions:

Vice President.

The vice president, in the absence or in the case of the resignation of the president, performs the duties and exercises the powers of the president.

Primary duties:

• Responsible for managing fundraising efforts.

• Responsible for working collaboratively with the school to coordinate the scheduling of assemblies.

• In charge of designing and editing templates for all the fundraiser flyers or appoint a designee.

• Upon approval of the principal shall submit flyers for distribution to the students.  Also submit a copy to the president or corresponding secretary to upload on the Linwood PTO Facebook page and the school’s website.

Secretary

Primary duties:
• Take attendance at each meeting and manage sign in sheets.

• Maintains current membership list, including teachers.  

• Shall keep records of the organization, including minutes book, bylaws, rules, membership list, and shall keep any necessary supplies, and bring them to the meetings. Take and record minutes at each executive board, regular and special meeting(s).

• Ensure minutes are typed and sent to all executive board members within 2 weeks of the meeting. If no comments are provided during the 2 weeks, then it will be treated as final meeting minutes to be presented at the next executive board, regular or special meeting. 

• Provide. (PTO SIGNS/ FLYERS IN MAIN OFFICE)

• Share responsibility with the president or co-president to create and distribute publicity to keep parents informed of PTO activities via Linwood PTO Facebook page and the school’s website.

6th Grade Committee Coordinator

Primary duties:

• Organize/Plan events for the 6th grade end of year events

• Ensure event budgets are adhered to; Set up drop times and locations for all (vendors)

• Establish and monitor timelines to ensure event execution.
• Contact vendors via phone, in person or by email.

• Fundraising- organize activities to raise funds

School Store Lead

Primary duties:

  • Operates the school store once per week during 5th & 6th grade lunch

  • Makes weekly deposits, if needed

  • Provide the President with concerns or feedback 

  • Advise on what items need to be ordered
