Ramy Berberena Commits to the University of Miami
By Gabrielle Moorman
Raiders’ senior track & field athlete, Ramy Berberena, has committed to the University of Miami with a full ride scholarship. Berberena’s decision to further his education and athletic career at the university was based on his love for their track & field team as well as the positive and encouraging atmosphere of the campus which stood out to him amongst other universities. With college quickly approaching Bererena expects that he will learn to work harder in all aspects of his life, be a more focused student and athlete, and most of all learn to never be satisfied with anything less than his best. As his time at NBTHS is soon to end he takes with him a multitude of lessons he has learned from not only his teachers, but from his peers, and friends as well. The most significant lesson Berberena will take with him once graduating, is to never focus on being ordinary and trying to fit in. His greatest advice to his fellow students and athletes is to just focus on being themselves, and doing the best they can in whatever they decide to do. The student body and faculty at North Brunswick High School are extremely proud of Ramy Berberena and are all looking forward to watching him grow and succeed further at the University of Miami.
